Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Introduction
This is our fifth statement that sets out Web Control UK Limited's approach to understanding and addressing any potential slavery and human trafficking risks within its business and supply chains. Web Control UK Limited will be taking this matter seriously and is committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking,
This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year ending January 2023.
The organisation's structure, its business and its supply chains
We are a software development company based near Silverstone & Towcester in Northamptonshire focused on providing support, development and consultancy for software solutions and utilising emerging technologies for the benefit of enterprise.
Traditionally we have strong links to the manufacturing sector working with large, world-renowned companies. Our vast experience continues to provide them with the tools to automate and integrate their existing software infrastructure, as well as implementing the latest technologies to help them stay competitive in a fast-moving industry.
Web Control currently has 24 employees and we have customers and suppliers based in the UK & Europe.
The organisation's policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking within our supply chains or any part of our business. The organisation currently operates the following policies that describe its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and modern trafficking in its operations:

The organisation's due diligence processes in relation to slavery and human trafficking and in its business and supply chains
We believe that Web Control UK Limited, due to the nature of its business has a low risk to Modern Slavery in our business and supply chain.
However, as part of our initiative to identify and mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our business and supply chains, the organisation will undertake due diligence when taking on new suppliers and regularly review its existing ones. This includes:
- mapping the supply chain broadly to assess particular product or geographical risks of modern slavery and human trafficking;
- evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier
- reviewing on a regular basis all aspects of the supply chain based on the supply chain mapping;
- invoking sanctions against suppliers that fail to improve their performance in line with an action plan or seriously violate our supplier code of conduct, including the termination of the business relationship.
The organisation's effectiveness in ensuring that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in its business or supply chains, measured against relevant performance indicators
Web Control UK Limited will be reviewing its key performance indicators (KPIs) and as a result, the organisation will aim to:
- require all staff to be made fully aware/to have completed training on modern slavery by the end of our current financial year which was completed within timescales. Refresher courses will be made available to all staff and to be undertaken by December 2023.
- develop a system for supply chain verification, whereby the organisation will evaluate potential suppliers before they enter the supply chain; and
- carry out reviews on its existing supply chains which is expected to be completed by December 2023.
Approval
This modern slavery and human trafficking statement was approved by the Managing Director and constitutes our commitment for this financial year. This statement will be reviewed and updated annually.
